Great for garden picnics or days out at the park, scroll down for a great ‘kid friendly’ recipe to make your own crackers using the love heart cutter from the Love Bug Baking Kit.

Makes 12-15 crackers. Takes less than an hour to make and bake.
You Will Need
100g Strong Bread Flour
1Tbsp Sugar
1Tsp Salt
2Tbsp Olive Oil
50ml Water
Optional
Red Food Colouring (left over from the Love Bug Baking Kit)
Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter
Method
Preheat the oven to 200C / 180C fan.
Combine the flour, sugar, salt, food colouring & olive oil in a bowl and gradually add a little water to bring the mixture together to form a ball of dough. (If the dough is sticky, add a little more flour and knead together until smooth).
Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the dough until it is around 5-7mm. Cut out roughly 12-15 hearts and place on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. Reroll any left over dough if needed.
Using a fork or cocktail stick, prick the biscuits to prevent them from puffing up during baking.
Pop in the oven for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway to bake evenly. The crackers are baked when they begin to colour around the edges.
