It may seem early to be talking about Christmas, however I am a firm believer that it is never too early! I love Christmas, and I am so excited for this year. I think as a baker, you have to start preparing for Christmas (got to get that cake cooked so it can mature and be fed!) well before anyone else. Christmas in our family has always been a loud affair, when we were growing up we never spent a Christmas at home and therefore didn’t often have a tree to decorate (Mum had the right idea; she didn’t need to cook Christmas dinner for years), and now we need to make up for lost decorating time (and the occasion when Christmas Lunch was a boggy picnic in Ireland!).
For weeks now, the smells coming from the Honeywell Bakes kitchen have been Christmas related; cakes, gingerbread, mince pies and shortbread – all the essentials for a good Christmas; we are finally ready to show you our Christmas Collection, which can either be purchased as a table or individual gifts from our shop.
